Marinerri: Watchtowers over the estuary
A tour to discover, from the heights, the links between Leioa and the Bilbao Estuary.
We leave the Skate park and head towards the Artaza and Pinosolo parks, along the route of the hermitages. Before reaching the Ondiz water reservoir, we descend towards Lamiako, bordering Gaztelueta, a name that reminds us of fortified positions of the past and from where it is possible to see El Abra. We follow Langileria street and through Aketxe we ascend to Ondiz, passing by the tower-palace. We reach the viewpoint, from where on clear days we can see the top of Gorbeia. To return to the starting point, we head towards the Txorierri neighbourhood and border it, to start the descent along the Euzko Gudariak avenue, passing by Torresolo.
